On boza.info you can not only play locally, but also compare your score online with other players. Each game has its own leaderboard with the best 10 entries. Just enter a name while playing – your score is submitted automatically. Who reaches the highest score?
Accounts & online highscores – explained simply
Do I need an account?
There is no real account. You only need a name. Enter it once – then you play under that name. The PIN is optional and protects your name.
How do I choose a name?
Open the leaderboard panel in the game and type your name. It is saved in your browser. Your name then appears automatically in the leaderboard.
Why does spelling matter?
Capital letters matter: "boza" and "BoZa" are two different players. So check exactly how your name is written so your points go to your name.
How do I protect my name with a PIN?
Click the lock in the leaderboard panel and choose a PIN. After that, only someone who knows the PIN can submit points under that name. You get a backup code – save it safely.
What is the backup code?
The backup code is like a spare key. If you forget your PIN, you can use it to reset your name and choose a new PIN. Never share the code with anyone.
I lost my PIN – what now?
Problem! If your browser has saved the PIN, everything keeps working. If it is gone (e.g. after clearing browser data), the game simply asks for your PIN – just enter it again.
Are my points saved when I leave?
Your points are saved automatically – at game over and when you leave the page. So you don't lose points just because you stop.
Why is only my best score shown?
In the leaderboard, only your best score counts for each player. That keeps the list clear and fair – each player appears exactly once per game.
Why can I only like after 25 minutes?
Likes are a nice gesture. To prevent misuse, you can only like after 25 minutes of total playtime – that keeps things fair.
Why is my score sometimes not accepted?
To prevent cheating, the server checks every score: it must fit the game and the duration must be right. There is also a 5-second gap between submissions. Just play again – then it works.
My page reloads by itself – why?
That is normal and good: there is a new version of the page. So your points are saved correctly, the page reloads automatically. You don't have to do anything.
What happens to names that never play?
Names that were only registered but never played are automatically removed after 3 weeks. This keeps space for others and avoids clutter. Anyone who has played at least once stays.
Are there real logins and passwords?
There are no real accounts with passwords. Name and PIN are just protection in your browser – not a real login. You can play immediately without logging in anywhere.
